Extremely rare incredibly breath taking
museum quality
Fire Agate
specimen!

![]()
This is one of the most beautiful fire agate
specimens I have seen in 25 years!
It has been unofficially appraised at $10,000.00
plus dollars.
It can be utilized either as a museum quality
shelf specimen,
or
cut into two incredible
Cabochons.
There is fire of every color, purple, blue,
green, orange, red, amber, yellow, pinks,
etc.
Lots of purple, the rarest and most difficult
color to find!
The colors play almost at every angle. This is what is called a "botroydial"
meaning "Bunch of grapes." These are the bubbles that you are seeing.
I do not wish to sell this piece, as it will be difficult to ever replace it.
This specimen is one of a kind!
The funds generated from this sale of this
incredible specimen, will further my exploration
and mining
costs of actually digging additional and other types of specimens.
This specimen is from Slaughter Mountain
in Arizona.
Slaughter Mountain is now, has been and will
be forever closed to further mining of Fire
Agates.
The fire agates from area in Arizona are
a truly one-of-a-kind material.
This dramatic gem consists of limonite trapped
between layers of agatized silica.
These agates form in basalt and other volcanics
from a unique process wherein
agate is layered in vugs from a hydrothermal
solution, one micro-thin layer at a time.
Some of these layers diffract light back
in a rainbow pattern,
creating brilliant bubbles and sheets of
red, green, yellow, and the elusive blue.
TRULY A ONE-OF-A-KIND BEAUTY!
Each of these images is of ONE specimen -
I tried to capture the colors at every angle.
